'Silver Connections' is a unique exhibition celebrating the work of two generations of applied artists. Drawing on the experience of over 100 years gained between them, 'Silver Connections' showcases new work by a family of widely-acclaimed silversmiths and applied artists – Michael McCrory, Deirdre McCrory and their daughter Cara Murphy.
This local family has unequivocally occupied the forefront of a contemporary approach and direction to the applied arts and contemporary silversmithing in the UK and Ireland. Drawing on these experiences, this exhibition disseminates a creative and innovative approach to silversmithing and the applied arts. All three have made an outstanding contribution towards international public and private collections and their exciting new work forms this Crafts Council of Ireland touring exhibition.
